Alexis Kirke is a member of the Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Group and the University of Plymouth's Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research.
He has a PhD from the Plymouth Centre for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience, and has worked in Speech/Sound Recognition and Stock Market Analysis. He has published papers on Algorithmic Composition, and is a published poet in the UK and US.
Alexis' compositions have been performed at various international festivals, including Musica Viva in Portugal and Sounds Electric in Ireland.
