Adrian Horsewood
Adrian read philosophy at the University of Cambridge before going on to complete an MMus in singing, conducting and Historical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He's currently fulfilling a long-held ambition by studying at the Mecca of early music that is the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland.
He sings, conducts, writes, edits, arranges and engraves music for whoever will pay him to, and always feels amazingly grateful and lucky to be doing what he loves as a career.
When not practising, rehearsing, or performing, he can normally be found doing some combination of the following things: reading (his friends laugh at him for reading as he walks along the street); cooking (he does a mean mushroom risotto); enjoying good food; learning foreign languages (he enjoys making people in other countries laugh/wince by speaking/slaughtering their language); art (Byzantine religious art and Francis Bacon's Screaming Popes, and nearly everything in between); walking; learning new instruments (he really wants to buy a lute!); travelling; supporting Grimsby Town Football Club (it's a hard life, but someone's got to do itÂ…); visiting churches.
