Ceiri O'Driscoll
Ceiri O'Driscoll used to work in public relations, but really hopes you won't hold that against her. Now she considers herself some sort of renegade observer of the human condition, but that's because she's gone back to university and doesn't have a real job. You can hold that against her.
An angry teenagedom spent listening to Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins et al belies the fact that the first ticket in her box of tickets is for an East 17 concert. Journeys through Brit Pop and Trip Hop followed, enabling such prized additions to the ticket box as Portishead and Blur, alongside later forays into Brit Hop with loveable scamps Dizzee Rascal and The Streets.
If you meet her at a bus stop and ask her what music she likes, she'll probably say drum and bass, enthusing about the likes of Dom and Roland and Noisia, but only if you don't look like too much of a weirdo. She also loves breaks and has been known to brave the perils of Fabric for a go on the Plump DJs or Freq Nasty.
Future additions to that now infamous ticket box include Hot Chip, Santogold, Elbow and Paul Weller. Ceiri is considering going to Bestival dressed as the blue opera singer from The Fifth Element.
Her first name is pronounced 'Kerry'. Vaguely disappointing, she knows.
