Daniel Paton

Daniel has been immersed in music from a very early age. As a drummer, he trained in jazz workshops at London's Weekend Arts College with legendary musicians Ian Carr and Tim Whitehead. He now drums for Adrian Roye & The Exiles and the Tom Millar Quintet. When not performing music, Daniel is also a keen writer. His music and film blog has been running since 2004 and covers a wide range of music from singer-songwriters to modern improvisation. Daniel also covered last year's London Jazz Festival for the Jazzwise website and has had work published on The Blog Paper.com and LOVEFiLM.com. Daniel's current favourite artists include Dirty Projectors, Björk, The Books, Wayne Shorter, Phronesis, Vijay Iyer, Steve Lehman, Grizzly Bear, Flying Lotus, Caribou, Joanna Newsom, Polar Bear, Bill Frisell, Teenage Fanclub, Matthew Herbert, Pantha Du Prince, Ólafur Arnalds and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.
