Ben Lee, Past Contributing Writer, musicOMH Ben graduated from Nottingham University two years back and decided to further the gap until he had to get a real job by studying abroad. He attended the New York Film Academy and studied screenwriting.

After working at the Tribeca Film Festival where Ben discovered the joys of the open bar, he returned home and found himself jobless and worthless. He randomly got a gig editing Grumpy Old Holidays, a book based on the BBC series which allowed him to return to New York.

He got himself a job working for a movie website and integrated himself within the NY press circuit, avoiding asking inane questions to actors who were far more important than he. Ben returned home, freelanced himself out and wrote two articles for InLondon magazine and is now working in London for a film distribution company.

Music-wise he enjoys Citizen Cope, Jamie Lidell, Amy Winehouse, Gnarls Barkley, MF Doom, Musiq, The Strokes and Phoenix. Recent films which have caused salivation include Pan’s Labyrinth, Children of Men, Perfume, Notes on a Scandal, Grindhouse, Zodiac, Knocked Up, Little Children and Black Snake Moan.

Ben has a crippling phobia of cinnamon.
