This is a good environment to take children, especially the very young or those on their first festival experience.
The atmosphere is a lot more pleasant than the leery norm. There is plenty of space and the surroundings of the forest, lake (for a spot of pond dipping) and grassy knolls are perfect for families.
The item of choice seems to be a wheelbarrow or mini-trailer to cart one’s offspring around.
The adult behaviour here is a lot more restrained (oddly) which serves young eyes and ears well.
After seeing parents struggle through Glastonbury and the larger festivals I never entertained the idea of bringing a child to a festival, but 24 hours here has changed my mind.
