The Decemberists lynchpin Colin Meloy announced on Twitter that the band’s new album, out on 17th January, will be called The King Is Dead.
As a taster of things to come, Down By The Water is available free, now, and features Peter Buck of R.E.M. and singer-songwriter Gillian Welch. Wrap your ears around it, courtesy of Rough Trade, here:
