George Clooney's black-and-white dramatisation of the battle between journalist Edward Murrow and Senator McCarthy stars David Strathairn as the courageous hack.
Interspersed with documentary footage of McCarthy and dealing with the period when the senator's "anti-American" witch hunts were in full swing, the film also stars Clooney and Robert Downey, Jr.
