The Savages has an excellent cast, led by Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Wendy is a struggling playwright and Jon a neurotic college professor. Their lives are turned upside-down by the need to care for an elderly parent, forcing them to re-evaluate the past they've for so long done without.
