Joe Moshenska was recently summarised as a "tallish white guy" by a friend, but likes to think that he is so much more than that. He enjoys reading books, watching films and going to the theatre; he dislikes the term 'culture vulture', preferring to compare himself to more interesting and pretty birds such as eagles and cockatoos.

While he particularly enjoys watching Shakespeare's plays on the stage, Joe also has less high-brow interests: he is convinced that The Sopranos and The Simpsons are the pinnacles of Western Civilization, and longs for the day when power-pop supremo Brendan Benson is given the adulation that he deserves. He is also a keen follower of Blackburn Rovers, an obsession which dates from his days as a ten year-old glory hunter; this is despite the fact that he thinks of 'The North' as a barren place near Reykjavik, but he hopes to learn more about it one day.

Joe divides his time between Cambridge, where he studies, and Brighton, where he grew up; he goes to London whenever possible, but would really rather live in New York.
