"I am not an alcoholic, I am a publicans' friend..."

Johnny's early years were spent in rural Herefordshire on a diet of Fiddlers Dram, Father Abraham's, The Worzels, The Flying Pickets et al. At 17 he rebelled, packed his 'Ronnie Radford' (snorkel parker) and a flick comb in order to mix it up on Brighton's sea front. He got as far as Reading and discovered Punk, Ska, Indie etc.

Always on the fringe of the music business, Johnny formed a band called Jane's Big Joy Box who enjoyed a modicum of success, managing to complete half their array of tracks (1.5 of 3) before being bottled off stage during their one and only gig. In between a multitude of shite jobs he managed a couple of bands including Charlie Potatoes who, whilst supporting The Levellers, performed the amazing feat of setting fire to the stage causing Hereford Leisure Centre to be evacuated.

After the fire Johnny disappeared for a while. Some say he pursued a career as a city Head Hunter. However, it wasn't long before he re-emerged and set up his own business, moonlighting for musicOMH in the meantime.
