Competition: Jack Daniel's Birthday JD Set in Tennessee
The JD Set
The JD Set
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

musicOMH and Jack Daniel's have got together to offer one reader (and a friend) a trip to Tennessee for Jack Daniel's Birthday JD Set. Here's the story...

Due to the courthouse fire that destroyed his birth certificate, no one's sure of Mr Jack Daniel's exact birthday.

All we know is that it was sometime in September 1850. So the good folk at Jack Daniel's celebrate all month long, culminating in the hotly anticipated Birthday JD Set at the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
You can be in with the chance to win tickets for you and a friend to travel to the US for the ultimate birthday celebration where you can raise a toast to Jack in the company of this year's line-up - Róisín Murphy, Tim Wheeler (Ash), House Of Lords (Young Knives) and Hugh Cornwell (former front man of The Stranglers).

Each artist will be backed by the New Silver Cornet Band - a group of session musicians from Tennessee which includes Steve Cropper who co-wrote Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay and David Hood of Muscle Shoals Sound. This hugely talented band was formed in memory of the original Silver Cornet Band formed by Jack back in 1892, thus starting JD's long standing love and support of music.

Just 200 people will be lucky enough to attend the Birthday JD Set and experience a night of unforgettable solos and unique collaborations which help make it a once in a lifetime rock 'n' roll experience. The gig takes place on BBQ Hill overlooking the Jack Daniel Distillery where every drop is made.

Make Mr Jack's birthday a memorable one. Please drink responsibly.

The question:

What was the name of the band Róisín Murphy was a member of before going solo?
a) Moloko
b) Placebo
c) Goldfrapp

and send your answer, together with your full name, email address, postal address and phone number to:

Competition closes on Thursday 18th September 2008. There will be one winner, who will be notified by phone.
