musicOMH's Most Read Album Reviews: 2009 Q3

The Duckworth Lewis Method
No 4: The Duckworth Lewis Method's album of 'cricket pop' was one of the soundtracks of the summer.
After 2009 Q1 and 2009 Q2 it is with a certain inevitability that Q3's Top 50 Most Read Album Reviews chart gets compiled, has some blurb slapped atop it and gets published to the internets.

Who says the album format is dead? Over the three calendar months, July, August and September 2009 our album reviews were read a third of a million times. This resulting chart, which only includes albums released in 2009, provides another snapshot of musicOMH readers' viewing preferences - and it provides a chance to check out albums you may have missed (which definitely won't include the one perched on the top, we'd wager).
But in the release week 5th October alone we've been sent nearly 50 albums to review, so when we say "snapshot" we mean just that; in the album reviews section and its archives you'll find heaps more of the coverage we've afforded new music releases.

It sets us up nicely for the inevitable listomania that comes with the end of the year, the end of the decade and our first 10 years in existence. Yes, musicOMH has been around for a decade. Anyway. Click on an album title to see the review; reviewers' names are in italics. Here we go...
