One Night Only
One Night Only seem, as still happens with major label acts sometimes, to have appeared from nowhere as debut album Started A Fire entered the Top 10 at the beginning of the year.

The north-east England five-piece's tour tonight, for one night only, arrived into Glasgow.
When One Night Only enter the stage, the youngish teenage crowd go crazy. Lead singer George Craig is wearing his own band's t-shirt as the songs meander their way into the audience. The album is tremendous to listen to, but a live show requires more than just a rendition of it. Maybe One Night Only haven't quite picked up on that yet.

For the teenagers at the front of the crowd, One Night Only provide a party, but for the older fans at the back, it is difficult to get into their groove. New single It's About Time ramps up energy levels, but it proves to be a blip in the otherwise predictable set.

Later, various band members exit the stage leaving lead singer George alone with only his acoustic guitar. The solo performance twists the show a little, capturing the entire audience.

With the show showing signs of turning round, they wheel out Just For Tonight, the hit that announced the band's arrival, as the grand finale song. It is delayed with a drum roll before booming out over the crowd.

A lack of an encore suggests the band have simply run out of songs. The teenage fans have lapped up every second and want more, but despite a couple of promising moments this gig did little to win over new converts to the cause.
