Empty is the third single to be taken from Metric's Live It Out. A whirlwind of sound violently crashes in and Emily Haines' vocals throws you all over town before coming to rest somewhere more tranquil.
It's an illustration of a band in full command of what they do and in many ways sums up Live It Out. It's an album that the band have always wanted to make but never before had the chance to realise those ambitions. Now they have.
