Having first seen The Whip at Brighton's Great Escape festival all the way back in May 2007, it seems to have taken them rather a long time to get around to putting out their debut album.
Happily, on the back of a tour with Simian Mobile Disco, the day is shortly at hand for the Manchester boys and girl. X Marks Destination gets a full release courtesy of Southern Fried on 24th March and the band have two headline tours of their own coming up. The first is a "club" tour and the second, the longer, is a "rock" tour.
By May 2008 it's a fair bet that a lot more people will have heard of The Whip.
