Tipped by many to be one of this year's 'big things', Lincoln's 22/20s have even been described by some as Britain's answers to The White Stripes. Like their contempories The Blueskins, 22/20s have got the blues.

This isn't some watered down version of the Detroit sound though - Shoot Your Gun is an immense single that should enhance their already favourable reputation. It's dark and grimy, with a pounding bassline that drives the song on relentlessly. Some sinister lyrics about cutting, bleeding and, of course, shooting guns add to the marvellously twisted atmosphere.

This may not be their most commercial single but it will add to their growing critical reputation. Expect their forthcoming album to get a lot of people very excited.
