"He's boring, but I'm making promises I'm breaking... you're better off with him." So goes the undeniably catchy chorus to this latest offering from those punk-pop hopefuls A. He’s boring? Vocalist Jason Perry needs to take a long hard look at himself and look up the terms pot, kettle and black in a dictionary.
Better Off With Him is a pretty average pop song, with a slightly punky edge (although I would hesitate to use the term punk with a single like this). It does achieve something that very few other bands have ever done before, however: I actually found myself thinking that Busted had better songs than this. A's gift to the world then, is to make Busted sound like geniuses.
I'm not entirely sure whom this song is about, but honestly love, listen to Jason. Whoever it is that you're with now, you're much better off with him. You don't need the aggravation of a self-pitying vocalist in a pretty awful band; find yourself a banker, or a lawyer.
