More broken beats from the Catskills label, who have unearthed this little treasure of Aldo Vanucci's version of the classic 80s track.
Laid over some old school beats, the vocals are strangely muted in the mix, and out of tune to boot, but that seems to fall in with the spirit of the track with its subtle flutes and pipes weaving round the melody. The original mix has a simple downbeat loop and a kind of weak innocence that is strangely appealing.
The remixes are well worth hearing, a good mixture that take in Hairy Diamond's warm, slow funk number, Tim Love Lee's macabre march-past and a sparsely produced acoustically-based version from Jon Kennedy.
