Following on the heels of the remarkably catchy Rock Steady, this track looks set to continue an underwhelming comeback that has been remarkable only for the general lack of interest it's inspired.
There was a time when the All Saints were at the top of the music pile, the cooler and more credible alternative to the woefully over-the-top and over-styled Spice Girls. Things have changed dramatically in the 5 years since their last album. Girls Aloud and Lily Allen now dominate their market and, whilst this track may be a world away to what they released last time round, it's a whole different ball game these days. The style-over-substance endemic in this don't cut it any more.
The track itself isn't that easy to describe or pigeon-hole. The vocals are good, and the track is well (if somewhat over) produced, but there's an angularity to it that doesn't quite work. Couple that the fact that the accompanying jerky electro sounds like it's bashed out on equipment from the Fisher Price catalogue and you get the general idea. Keep your money in your pockets, as this is definitely one for the no pile.
