The last I heard of Alpinestars was a shockingly bad single featuring the 'talents' of faux indie sex-dwarf Brian Molko and since then they've apparently toured extensively with Groove Armada and Faithless.

I could certainly see fans of that particular brand of 'coffee table dance music for people not really into dance music' falling for the charms of Burning Up. A bit of gentle guitar, some inoffensive synth noises, a jaded somewhat listless vocal, yes everything present and correct.

Prince Quick delivers a mix that sounds like something he knocked up in 1993 and left lying around the studio gathering dust until he was able to flog this particular slice of unappealing old rope off to an undiscerning record company exec.

Finally there's the Differentgear mix, another unprepossessing chunk of nondescript dance music by numbers that somehow manages to stretch its meagre elements to a not particularly welcome 8 minutes.
