Amy MacDonald is a Kirsty MacColl for our times, uniting killer tunes with dark pop irony that rules the airwaves from Xfm to Radio 2. You can dance and cry to this music all at the same time. And where are you gonna sleep tonight?
If all Amy had to offer was the music, the world would be perfect. But she's even better than that - she won't even moan at you if you stagger over to her table at the Digital Music Awards, completely pissed, babble at her incoherently and steal all her posh chocolates. That's rock'n'roll.
