Not content with the accolade of Worst Karaoke Band Ever, Atomic Kitten proceed further down the path of prefab pop pap with this slaughtering of a once fine song, popularised some 20 years ago by Blondie.
It's canny marketing, of course. Most of Atomic Kitten's pre-pubescent fanbase will be blissfully unaware of Deborah Harry's existence - at least until now. So putting out such an old song looks on paper like a smart move.
But when the production is this anodyne, when the singers are this plastic, when the whole project is this pointless, you must wonder if there will ever be an end to the overwhelming blandness passing as chart music these days.
