Audio Bullys - Way Too Long
Ahhh, the gentle siren song of "Geezer House", where thug beats are married to urban tales of Burberry-capped lads drinking, fighting, shagging and eating kebabs. It's not pretty but then it was never meant to be.

Whereas The Streets' Mike Skinner was able to find humour and even a kind of noble beauty in the everyday doings of everyday lads and laddesses, the Audio Bullys seem quite happy just to aim for the lowest common denominator.

Still the tune itself is fair enough, a suitably roughed-up sample from Elvis Costello's (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea providing the backbone of the song. With some nice, dirty bass and breakbeats keeping things moving, unfortunately the vocals fail to convince (not for the first time) and let the whole project down.
