Angry Avril is back with the fourth single from second album Under My Skin and luckily it sees her back on top angst-ridden teen form. After a spat of moody ballads, the Canadian princess of black pop gives us a reminder of what we really love her for.
This song is gloriously riotous with boisterous drums and rowdy guitar riffs, all wrapped up expertly in a tightly produced package. Even when the lyrics fail in their endearingly stupid way, we can forgive her - for she does boy-hating much better than boy-liking. This is a single to stomp on their toes to.
Like all current day singles should have, the special edition single features the video to He Wasn't, four lots of PC wallpaper, and a short on-the-road diary of Avril in London - although, if you are over 17, it's probably advisable to buy the regular edition instead.
