Brixton's finest have had the merest hint of a critical backlash off the back of their new album, but there remains no doubt they continue to make fiercely original music, drawing on a myriad of influences.

Lucky Star is an obvious single, a hyped-up rap from Dizzee Rascal countered by a sultry female vocal. It's not as immediate as previous singles such as Red Alert or Romeo, but after a few listens it worms its way in there.

The broken beat, Eastern-influenced original is nicely complemented by a four to the floor club mix, and a blistering, screeching drum and bass version from Dillinja that will scrape the plaster off the ceiling.
