Beach House's first ever single has an elegiac sort of nostalgia, a trip down memory lane with the rose coloured spectacles to hand.
As is the duo's wont, it's a gorgeously unhurried piece of music taking place over an airy texture sprinkled liberally with glockenspiels and all sorts of trebly instruments.
B-side Apple Orchard, in its four track guise, sees little reason to change the winning formula. Yet Used To Be has the unique sense of time standing still that presents Beach House in their best light, stately and unbowed.
