It's always good to witness the return of Beck, and a keen sense of anticipation awaits the fruits of his work with Danger Mouse.
Chemtrails isn't a single release as such, but has been given away free as a taster for the new album. Its woozy textures drift around like dappled sunlight on a summer's afternoon, with Beck's distracted vocal and a busy drum track complementing each other perfectly.
With lovely, shifting harmonies to boot, this is a delectable record, Beck at his most content but with enough of an edge to suggest the long player will be demanding our attention on frequent occasions this summer.
