From the label that unleashed The Hives on an unsuspecting world comes a second chance of success: The Bellrays.

There are similarities - i) they rock, ii) they yell, iii) they have guitars and drums. Their influences may indeed be the same people who inspired The White Stripes, namely '50s rock with a smattering of Motown, but there's obviously a market out there loving this kind of thing just now. Well, on the first track, this is the case.

The main track is by guitarist Tony Fate, while bassist Bob Vennum gets his call-up for a much slower, altogether sleazier number, The Same Way, on the B-side. And Lisa Kekaula's huge voice adds a touch of class and distinction to proceedings.
