The hypnotic synth riff that resonates through It Gets Cold may sound almost identical to that of You're My Best Friend by Queen, but Black Daniel's sweaty, bluesy delivery ensures the fires of comparison are stoked no further.

Packing the loutish swagger of Kasabian, and the ice-cool of The Strokes in a suitcase, Black Daniel transport themselves back to the seventies to tread the successfully beaten T-Rex path to enticing

A stronger chorus could have administered It Gets Cold with the required dosage of man-up juice, but as it stands, Black Daniel's latest offering is an accessible, and enjoyable garage-rock shaped treat.
