Lee, Duncan, Anthony and Simon have well-trained voices, but they cannot sing in tune. This is unfortunate given that U Make Me Wanna, the next single due from the top-selling album One Love, is the sort of song that would go perfectly with lush tuneful voices.
Thankfully for Blue, young minds are impressionable. So their record-buying public is already trained to expect the tonal-freeform and embarrassing vocal-acrobatic attempts of the lads' voices. But those over-14s who want to appreciate U Make Me Wanna for the decent soulful song of abandonment-to-love that it is, will have to depend on the lower fidelity of radio, TV, or club PAs - together with an alcohol-induced, driving-induced, or MTV-induced attention deficit - to allow them to enjoy this catchy number without vocal-cringe-attacks.
