The Blueskins may come from Wakefield but this is another single that wears its American blues and rockabilly influences clearly on its sleeve. They've released a few impressive EPs and this is another worthy addition to their back catalogue.
The lead track Change My Mind starts off with a bluegrass sounding guitar before pedalling headlong into a rocking stomp. The other track I Wanna Know is a similarly furious blues number which shows that the band have managed to transplant their fearsome live reputation into the studio.
Both tracks are excellent but the debut album, due in April, will have to show another side to their character if they're not to be written off as one trick ponies.
