Feeling bored of routine and British music? Getting sick of the bog-standard indie? Well its time to wake up, slam on a bit of Bonde and get your baile funk on because this is something special.

Imagine Supermario Brothers sounds but with a pinch of funk. Mario would be two-timing the limbo whilst mutating mushrooms. Constantly upbeat, Mario never dies. Then in come the bongos, followed some intricate singing, and a cheering chorus.

They are Brazilian by the way, and making a success in their native language. With the title meaning, 'Free The Chickens' in translation, surely they're fighting a noble political cause. Oh, hold on, this is a band that sample The Darkness and spend more time getting pissed up and partying than tuned into BBC News 24. They're probably just being what the Timmy Mallet school of comedy would call 'wacky'. What's amazing is that, despite all odds, they get away with it.

Singer Marina sounds like a Latino M.I.A.. Bonde Do Role really know how to chuck variety together to create something original yet well formed, a bit like Kate Moss with her clothes. These electro-bongo-bashers have been appearing in a variety of different media, currently backing the new Nokia advert, but have had mixed reviews. Nevertheless, if you need to get a party pumping, look no further Solta O Frango because it's better to be brilliant at one thing than ok at everything.
