There are some record labels whose reputations guarantee top quality and Ninja Tune is definitely one of these brands. As a reviewer, you can get away without even listening to their output because you instantly know it's going to be good the moment it lands on your doormat- But what's the fun in that?

This is an intriguing sample of tracks from Bonobo's forthcoming third album Days To Come. The opener Nightlite has a cool jazzy and laid back feel to it. Guest vocalist Bajka's exotic, purring, cat-like vocals suggest a post-club rendering of The Propellerheads' History Repeating.

Recurring is on the surface a simple, but effective piece of chill out with a pleasing clockwork feel to it. However, it's many shifts and unfamiliar motifs ensure that it's never boring. The third track, If You Stayed Over features Ninja Tunes stablemate Fink on guest vocals is undoubtedly going to be a highlight when the album is released. A darker moodier piece, this initially feels like Les Fleur with Thom Yorke on vocals, but builds on this to reach loftier heights.

The three tracks on display here certainly bode well as it's a tantalising taste, likely to leave you counting the days (no pun intended) until this hits the shelves.
