Well the summer's still not turned up, the Caribbean is being torn apart by storms, and yet there are still glimpses of metaphorical sun through all those clouds.

Jique positively sparkles and warms the cockles of our hearts (despite the only cockles most of us have seen this year have been from under an umbrella on some storm lashed promenade). Mixing electronica with an incessant bass line is a great start, but to add in a few samba beats and the exotic voice of Sabina Sciubba is pure genius. If you fail to dance to this then you have no soul, or no legs or something. Everything on Jique is in place to make it a hit; hell, there's even a bit that sounds like it should be the sound track to some 1960's mystical puppet show.

Even better is the MSTRKRFT remix which adds on some old school bells, soaks the bass in squelch, and adds a few frilly drum and synth fills. It tightens the whole thing up into a bonefide floorfiller, not that the original was too shabby of course. But as a club tune, there won't be too many better singles this year to get you dancing in the rain.
