Health fads may come and go, but Orange Juice will always be good for you - at least that's what Bricolage clearly believe. The Glaswegian band are so clearly related to Edwyn Collins' influential group that it's clear that their offspring would have two heads, several limbs and carry more genetic cul-de-sacs than your average member of the Royal Family.

But who says incest's all bad, eh? No? Anyway, Footsteps taps into the same joyous ingenuousness that Rip It Up and Falling And Laughing managed to evoke so effortlessly. Bricolage have been floating around Glasgow since around 2005, but with the Steve Lironi-produced Footsteps they manage to tap into the same kind of twangy spaciousness that bands like Vampire Weekend are currently making rather popular.

It's all very art school, of course, but I'd rather listen to this than one of the current bunch of knuckle-dragging neanderthals that seem to haunt the isles of HMV's indie section.
