She Goes constitutes another vaguely indie sounding single from yet another set of indie triers. As a song there is very little wrong with it. It does everything you would expect it to.
A gentle vocal line hints at the likes of U2 and The Cure, while the wave of guitar squall that lays heavy in the mix suggests that The Bright Space have been listening to My Bloody Valentine's Loveless in between fantasising about making a stage entrance in a giant lemon.
Had they let the guitar noise break free, She Goes could have been an entirely different proposition. It would have felt a little less controlled, and infinitely more interesting. Instead it is little more than a fairly pleasant tune that can easily go unnoticed. If someone ambushed you on the way home and forced you to listen to this on full volume, at gunpoint you'd still find time to wonder whether your shoelaces were tied.
