This second single is something of an improvement for British Sea Power over their last effort, Remember Me. Energetic guitar almost crushes an equally fulsome rhythm section and they all combine with enough pizzazz to recall very early songs by The Cure.

Rough Trade's stable currently includes The Strokes and Eileen Rose, and British Sea Power are beginning to show signs of wanting to be as well known.

Billed as a "traditional, home-cured rock band", they'll appeal to a section of the record-buying public who want more traditional recording techniques and less all-out production.
