British Sea Power (now *there's* a name for a band) release their debut single for Rough Trade, Remember Me, on December 3rd.

Backed by A Lovely Day Tomorrow (apparently it touches on Central Europe) and Birdy (possibly touches on the Common Gull....), it rather confusingly all melds into one medley of songs with the same beats and no breaks.

The usual indie setup of 4/4 drum beats, bass and noisy guitar underpin vocals which are, frankly, mediocre. None of the lyrics even troubles the mind of the listener. Birdy is the best track; at least without the vocals the music isn't so average. Here's hoping they do better with their second effort.
