This must surely be a first. A double A-side download single - will wonders never cease? The Broken Dolls must have a pretty extensive record collection, because this single feature elements from just about every aspect of rock out there. There's the blues of Led Zeppelin hiding behind the skuzzy guitars of MC5 and BRMC. There's also some deft production from Jim Abbiss, who has worked with Kasabian amongst others.

So Good For Me Features a staccato guitar intro that reeks of The Clashs London Calling. The song eventually builds to a keyboard driven climax that wouldn’t be out of place on a Yes album. Broken Dolls have a nice line in well written and intelligent songs, and it's little wonder that the buzz building around them is louder than Motorhead's Bomber being piloted by a swarm of bees.

If you want to stay true to the spirit of Rock And Roll and actually own a copy of the single you can hold, look at, and read the sleeve notes (there's not many so if that's your impetus - don't bother), then you'll have to catch them live on their forthcoming tour.
