being the newly fledged 'crunk' genre, those
scratching fingernails are more likely than not to be encrusted with diamonds. And Brooke Valentine
isn't going to stop at one - if her friend wants some
then she'll be next!
Unfairly though, she has two men to help her in
Big Boi and Lil Jon, rap's answer to
Morcambe and Wise. They turn in a lung busting
performance each, and it has to be said when they've
finished there's a lot of hot air around.It's a chant-like tune, monotoned but catchy, with
a signature floor-dwelling bass as company. Valentine
has plenty of attitude, but with all the posturing on
show it's difficult to locate much beneath the
surface.
