Goddess of Love is the first single to come from Bryan Ferry's new album Frantic. Marilyn says, "I've got nothing to wear tonight / only a pair of diamond earrings that catch the light / platinum blond, is it true that you have more fun".

Bryan Ferry's new single, co-written with Dave Stewart, is as glossy and polished as its subject, the original love goddess Marilyn Monroe.

Heavily reminiscent of Velvet Underground's Satellite of Love, especially when the chorus kicks in, Ferry's unmistakable voice is given a luxurious backdrop of choppy retro guitars and waves of synth, with a tune that gets lodged in your brain and simply refuses to budge. A class act that should please old and new fans alike.
