Reviving the power ballad for a new generation, Things Will Go My Way is the second single from II, The Calling's follow-up to their mammoth debut album. Basically, it's diluted Seattle grunge-rock for adolescent radio listeners, but that's not to say it isn't any good - actually this is a rather catchy and likable little number.

Things Will Go My Way dispenses a slick, strong melody, which coupled with Alex Band's passionate vocals and Aaron Kamin's calm guitar strumming and relatively simple chords is a winning formula for chart success and radio play lists.

Like other contemporary North American rock bands - Nickelback and the recently dispersed rockers, Creed - The Calling create much lighter melodies to fit the introspective and heartfelt lyricism about the facets of life and love. The Calling are near perfect for the relaxed rock fan - things will certainly go the right way for the Los Angels duo.
