Having done the vocals for the Rui DaSilva version that took the clubs by storm a few years ago, Fox has now gone off on her own to release a more sophisticated and modern version of this dance classic.
Her undeniably sexy voice, with an air of Annie Lennox, soars effortlessly above the smooth and chilled string accompaniment. It's rare to find a vocalist that can actually inject some emotional depth and feeling into dance music, rather than just a sub-operatic behemoth warbling away, but Fox definitely hits the mark with this one. The whole thing has a polished feel both allowing it to be a dance track and a serious piece of music in its own right.
Whilst it didn't contain any of the obligatory remixes that come with every club destined track these days, we can rest assured that they're going to be pretty damn good and we'll be hearing this in clubs, especially as there's no Spandau Ballet sample to get sued for this time round.
