Chapter XIII seem determined to avoid pigeonholing by attempting to simultaneously fall into a bunch of categories at once. So while they could go in a box marked 'metal', the electronic bits would stick out. And they could go in a box marked 'electronic', but then those grinding industrial drums catch on the side. And putting them into a industrial box doesn't work either, not with that son-of-Kashmir riff.
Maybe they deserve a fresh box. Which we can then close, seal with tape, roll up in a carpet and throw off a bridge.
"And in the end was the beginning", they scream with increasing throat-shredding conviction, and increasing worry for the listener. Because if the end is the beginning, if The Last Time is some kind of musical worm hole, creating a shortcut through space and time, then as it draws to a close, we're going to have to listen to it again. Which then means you're going to have to read this again. And how bad would that be?
