Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands, once the kings of the dance scene, appeared to have gone off the boil somewhat with their last couple of rather lacklustre albums. By the sounds of it though, they're on the verge of a mighty return to form.

Galvanise is an instant classic Chemical Brothers anthem, the sort that could easily stand tall with Let Forever Be or Hey Girl Hey Boy. There's a Middle Eastern flavour to the track, with rapper Q-Tip sounding completely different from his last guest appearance on REM's last album - in fact it all sounds rather apocalyptic at times, with Q-Tip pronouncing his "finger is on the button".

Sounding like the star track at the biggest 'end of the world' party, Galvanise is proof positive that reports of the Chemical Brothers' death were very much exaggerated.
