It's been a swift rise to the top for Cherie Charles, whisked straight onto the Jive label and given this perky street-pop number as a first single.

Comparisons with dad Billy Ocean are obviously pointless, although daughter has also been blessed with a decent voice, a slightly vulnerable edge giving her a more individual sound than much of today's processed pop.

The song has a punchy urban backdrop and a catchy chorus and impresses with its sassy way, comfortably staying in the mind after just one listen. If it were to reach number one it would reflect well on Cherie's new status as a more than credible alternative to label mates Timberlake and Spears.
