The disc itself has just about started spinning, and already this song has begun. But no, it's not scratched and playing from the middle, it's actually one of those old-fashioned numbers where they play the chorus at the start, just as a teaser.
After getting over the initial sneak-attack chorus, the song emerges as a very catchy ditty indeed. Jangly, daytime radio guitars and cosy, The Rembrandts-esque (think the theme tune to the TV show Friends) harmonies abound within a strictly curtailed three-minute romp.
Spinning in radio jocks' CD players is what they mean by the song's title, one presumes. Though even daring to predict what chart position a song might reach is like a game of Russian roulette for us critics, this track is so formulaic and yet so enjoyable it can't but succeed. This is going to be a hit - you heard it here first.
