Already being championed by Colin Murray at Radio One amongst others, Almost The Same is a frantic slice of anthemic guitar based rock, taken from the band's second album Cedars.

Almost The Same has a pounding backing reminiscent of The Strokes, while Jason Pegg's very English vocals add a rather louche touch. The lyrics seem to be inspired by a mismatch in heaven, with Pegg declaiming "I never thought we'd be friends", before admitting that "you're almost the same as me". Aah.

Although it probably isn't the most rewarding track on the album, it is the most commercial and provides an good initiation into the wonderful world of Clearlake.
