The latest offering from the London pop-electronica outfit, this is a fantastic pared-down summer anthem with just the right amount of funky psychedelia to make it stick in your brain. There's also just enough to make a Goldfrapp comparison inevitable.
Anne Booty's dreamy and wonderfully distorted vocals ooze a sexiness that sits perfectly on top of the co-ordinated sliding synth backing. The song has been stripped down to its bare essentials to give it a freshness and innocence and faux-naivety. It's easy to over-produce electronica, but this is absolutely perfect.
That being said, the Skylab remix is a fantastic glam rock style stomp that takes the tune down an entirely different road whilst still maintaining the integrity of the original. The additional elements, extra guitars, heavy drums etc work brilliantly. With debut album Army Behind The Sun looming on the horizon this is definitely a band to keep an eye on over the next few months as you'll certainly be hearing this for a long time to come. It's well worth getting hold of a copy; you'll regret it if you don't.
